Delivery receipts (optional)

Email each contractor a receipt for its own fuel on a log, by hand or when it is sent in.

Delivery receipts are optional and off until you turn them on. A receipt is a short email to a contractor’s billing contact listing only that contractor’s fuel on one log.

Set them up

  1. Go to Settings › Delivery receipts.
  2. Add a billing email for each contractor who wants receipts. Type the name as your fuelers type it; capitals and extra spaces don’t matter.
  3. Choose when to send: off, only when someone clicks Email receipt on a log, or automatically when a log is sent in.

Automatic sending covers logs sent in after you turn it on, and after you add that contractor’s email. Contractors without an email get nothing.

What a receipt shows

  • Your company name, logo and colour.
  • The date and shift, the truck, and the Fueler by name (never their code).
  • Each unit or piece of equipment with its fuel type and gallons, and the total.
  • The AFE, when an entry has one, and whether each fill was signed for, when the log has customer signatures.

It shows no prices and nothing about other contractors on the same log.

Sending one by hand

Open the log in Fuel logs. Its details list each contractor and what happened to its receipt. Press Email receipt to send the ones still owed. A log gets at most one receipt per contractor email.
